Donald Trump completes Final Lap, Electoral College, to White House.

Right Now: The Electoral College has
affirmed Donald J. Trump as the nation’s
45th president, pushing him past the 270-
vote threshold for election, with scant
evidence of the anti-Trump revolt among
electors that some of his critics had hoped
would occur.
Late Monday afternoon, Republican
electors in Texas vaulted Mr. Trump past
the 270 mark, giving him 36 votes, with
one each for Gov. John Kasich of Ohio and
Ron Paul.
Normally a political footnote, the electoral
vote took on unexpected import this year
after Mr. Trump’s upset of Hillary Clinton ,
who won the popular vote, spawned a
determined effort to block his path to the
presidency by grass-roots advocates who
saw him as unfit for the White House and,
to some, a threat to the political system.
Presidential electors — and particularly
Republican electors, who are bound by
tradition and often state law to support
Mr. Trump — were inundated with phone
calls, emails and even threats demanding
that they vote for someone else. Leaders
of groups that were lobbying the electors
had privately believed they had a chance
to persuade enough Republican electors
to defect, denying him an Electoral
College majority and throwing the
election to the House of Representatives.
But by late Monday, only a handful of
electors had broken ranks.

One Last Push: 538 electors to choose between Trump and Clinton today

Donald Trump won last month’s presidential
election. But many liberals and progressives
are still clinging to one faint, almost-certainly-
doomed hope that he can be blocked from the
presidency — through the Electoral College.
.
.
That’s because the November 8 vote was
technically not to make Trump president, but
only to determine who 538 electors in various
states across the country will be. It is those
electors who will cast the votes that legally
elect the president on Monday, December 19.
.
.
In modern times, the casting of electoral votes
has been a purely ceremonial occasion in
which the state results from Election Day have
been rubber-stamped.
This year, there’s more drama — because
there’s been a highly unusual effort to
convince Trump-supporting electors to simply
not vote for Trump. .
.
37 electors would need to defect from
Trump’s camp to deprive him of the Electoral
College majority he needs to become
president. But only one of those 306 electors
pledged to him has publicly said he’s
revolting.

Buhari orders investigation of EFCC boss and Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Pres. Buhari has ordered the investigation of
top officials of his administration who have
been accused of corruption. A short statement
by Mr. Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu,
indicated the president’s directive.
.
.
Although the statement did not mention any
specific officials, the Secretary to the
Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal,
and the Acting Chairman of the anti-graft EFCC
have both been accused of corrupt practices.
.
.
Mr. Lawal was indicted by the Senate of
making millions of naira of public funds from
non-executed contracts in the troubled north-
east using one of his companies. The Senate
has since asked for his suspension and
prosecution, although he has denied any
wrongdoing.
.
.
Mr. Magu’s confirmation as substantive
chairman was blocked by the Senate last
week. The Senate based its decision on a
“security report” believed to have emanated
from the State Security Service, SSS. A fact-
check of the content of the report by foremost
newspaper, PremiumTimes, however, revealed
most of the allegations were false.

Beautiful Nigerian undergraduate, who sells crayfish to sponsor herself in school, becomes a viral sensation

Truly Inspiring.

Just like everyone, i also woke up to see my account frozen- Man who brought MMM to Nigeria.

Chuddy Ugorji, the man who brought the
embattled ponzu scheme, MMM, to Nigeria,
has finally broken his silence regarding the
freezing of participants account. In a post on
his Facebook page, he said: "This week has
not been easy for all of us due to the news
update on our POs. .
.
As we all know, the media has been a tool
used by anti-MMMites and pessimists to fight
against the growth of MMM Nigeria.
Unfortunately some ignorant Nigerians who
don't understand what MMM is all about have
been brainwashed by the information
broadcasted by the media and social
networks.
.
.
Regarding the frozen mavro. It is clearly stated
on the news section on the website
Confirmed Mavro will be frozen for A MONTH.
The system needs to prevent any problems
that might arise during this festive season and
this measure will be cancelled once the festive
season comes to an end.
.
.
Frozen of mavros does not mean MMM has
stopped operations or crashed rather the
system has adopted this measure to avoid any
mishaps. The support system are working on
issues to enhance the effectiveness of the
community.
.
.
Also let's note that contrary to what has been
published by cheap bloggers, Am not the
Admin of MMM but one of the top guiders of
this great community. And none of us has
access to the site, I woke up on Tuesday and
saw the News on my PO like every other
person.
.
.
The MMM website is been managed in Russia
by their control and supervisory team. They
are responsible for every decision made, like
pairing of participants to provide help and get
help, resolving issues on the platform etc.
.
.
I have always been passionate about tutoring
members and guiders about the ideology of
MMM , the rules and the risk; I have
encouraged members to provide help only
with their SPARE MONEY and also get help at
the end of 30 days. .
.
I stand for the true ideology of MMM which is
anchored on providing and getting help
willingly. Let's hope for the best and STOP the
PANIC! We shall overcome by God's grace."

Baby with two heads delivered in Lagos

The baby was delivered on Tuesday at Med-In
Specialist Hospital in Ogudu, through an
elective Caesarean section, after various scans
she underwent in the course of the pregnancy,
indicated that she was having a twins. .
.
The baby was resuscitated and transferred to
the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH)
for advance care. According to one of the
nurses who was in the delivery room, they had
prepared two cots for each of the twins but
were shocked when they saw that they were
conjoined.
.
.
“As I speak to you, the mother doesn’t know
the condition of the babies. She still believes
and expects to carry her twins. We haven’t
told her yet. Only her husband was brought
into the theatre to see his children and he was
the one who went with the doctors to LUTH,”
said the nurse.
.
.
The condition is known as Parapagus. It is a
rare form of partial twinning where there are
two heads and two necks side by side on one
torso. Doctors say they cannot be separated
since they have only one pair of arms and one
pair of legs and one heart.
.
.
This disorder is different from conjoined twins
as the baby has only one set of internal
organs. The extremely rare case is thought to
be brought on during the early stages of
pregnancy as a result of genetic mutation.
.
.
Med-In Hospital Manager, Dare Moses, said
the baby was taken to LUTH so that tests can
be conducted to ascertain if they share also
vital organs like hearts and lungs. The Ministry
of Health has been notified of the
development. Crdt: The Nation

Police detain troubled Ireland returnee, who stabbed his father to death in Lagos.

When 24-year-old Bakare Babalola Rotimi Jnr
was becoming a nuisance in Dublin, Ireland,
where he had lived since he was 7, his
parents were advised to take him back to
Nigeria. .
.
Rotimi was the third of Mr. Bakare Babalola
Rotimi’s three boys, and a source within the
family described him as a stubborn boy. “This
boy doesn’t even have an education,” the
source said.
.
.
“He has been living in Dublin as a kid and he
refused to go school, instead he got addicted
to drugs,” the source added.
.
.
In the early hours of Sunday, December 4,
Rotimi Jnr, who was passing the night at his
parents’ place in Magodo, reportedly stabbed
both parents with a knife.
.
.
A family member revealed that the older
Rotimi woke up that night to use the
bathroom, and the boy jumped at him,
ordering his own father to lie on his chest.
.
.
He then allegedly brought a knife from behind
him and stabbed his father. His mother, Adijat,
rushed to the scene and was similarly
stabbed. The security guard would have been
arrested and detained, but for the testimony of
Adijat, who before passing out, told the police
that her son committed the crime. .
.
Rotimi Snr., 59, died immediately, while the
mother made it to the emergency bay on the
Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. There she was
stabilized before being transferred to the
surgery ward at the Lagos General Hospital,
where she is currently receiving treatment.
.
.
“He thought he had killed both of them,” a
source within the family explained. “After
stabbing them, he pulled out a cloth to cover
them, and he went to the bathroom to clean
up.
.
.
He got dressed, took his father’s phones, his
ATM cards and went straight to the father’s
fuel station at Palm Avenue. He got there and
started harassing the station manager,
demanding for money.”
.
.
A family source confirmed that the only issue
late Rotimi had with his son was about his
education. “Just like his other brother (who
is) studying Medicine in the US, he has been
begging this boy to go to school and this has
always been the cause of the
misunderstanding.” Crdt: Saharareporters

Justice at Last: Court orders senator to pay N100k as damages for slapping newspaper vendor.

A High Court in Uyo has ordered a former
senator from Akwa Ibom State, Anietie Okon,
to pay N100,000 as damages to a newspaper
vendor, Ndifreke Etim, whom he assaulted last
year in Uyo, PremiumTimes reports.
.
.
Mr. Etim, who walks around the city of Uyo,
hawking newspapers, had told the court that
Mr. Okon slapped him multiple times inside
Government House, Uyo, in September last
year.
.
.
The assault occurred around the state banquet
hall where the vendor had gone with the hope
of making quick sales during the swearing-in
of a new chairman of Akwa Ibom State Council
of Traditional Rulers.
.
.
Mr. Etim claimed that three able-bodied men,
who may have been Mr. Okon’s bodyguards,
stood by to watch as the former senator kept
slapping him. “When he finished slapping me,
he accused me of stealing his wallet. .
.
But God knows I am not a thief, I sell
newspapers to take care of myself and my
family. He didn’t even search me to see if I
had his wallet on me or not," Etim said.
.
.
The victim, backed by the Newspaper
Distributors Association of Nigeria, Akwa Ibom
State chapter, filed a civil suit against the
former senator.
.
.
The court, presided over by Justice Winifred
Effiong, held that the action of the former
senator was degrading, and that it was against
Mr. Etim’s right to the dignity of his person.
.
.
The court, besides granting an order that Mr.
Okon should pay N100,000 as damages to
Mr. Etim, also ordered the former senator to
pay additional N50, 000 as cost of the
litigation to Mr. Etim.
.
.
“I am glad that the court has been bold
enough to tell the senator that what he did
against me was wrong. It’s not about the
money," Etim said.

Nurse gets sacked in the U.K, for discussing Christianity and offering to pray with her patients.

Sarah Kuteh, a nurse with 15 years’
experience has been sacked after discussing
Christianity and offering to pray with patients
before operations. She was dismissed, weeks
ago, for breaching guidelines.
.
.
The mother-of-three said she was offering
solace to patients she believed were happy to
chat about their beliefs, and described her
sacking as ‘disproportionate and punitive’.
Mrs Kuteh broke down in tears as she recalled
being suspended and escorted from Darent
Valley hospital in Dartford, Kent. .
.
She said: ‘It was embarrassing for me – and
painful after all I had done in my years as a
nurse. I was told I couldn’t even speak to my
colleagues. All I had done was to nurse from
my heart. How could it be harmful to tell
someone about Jesus?’
.
.
But bosses at Dartford and Gravesham NHS
Trust said her ‘unwanted discussions’ had
upset patients and she had also failed to heed
warnings that she was being unprofessional.

Gambia's President of 22 Years, Jammeh, rejects election results a week after conceding defeat.

Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh has said
he would not recognise the results of
December 1 elections and called for fresh
polls, a week after he conceded defeat. .
.
“In the same way that I accepted the results
faithfully believing that the Independent
Electoral Commission was independent and
honest and reliable, I hereby reject the results
in totality,” he said on Friday in a statement
broadcast on state television.
.
.
“Let me repeat: I will not accept the results
based on what has happened,” he said,
condemning “unacceptable errors” on the part
of electoral authorities and calling for a new
vote. .
.
Jammeh pointed to an accounting error,
identified by the IEC, which awarded victory to
his opponent Adama Barrow but with a
slimmer margin than initially announced.
Latest official figures gave Barrow 43.29% of
the votes in the presidential election, while
Jammeh took 39.64%. .
.
The turnout was at 59%. Jammeh claimed
“investigations” had revealed that numerous
voters had not been able to cast their ballots.
“This is the most dubious election we ever
had in the history of this country,” he said. .
.
“We will go back to the polls because I want
to make sure every Gambian votes under an
electoral commission that is impartial,
independent, neutral and free from foreign
influence,” he said, adding that he would not
tolerate any street protests over his decision.

Soldiers were seen placing sandbags in
strategic locations across the capital Banjul
Friday, a development which triggered
widespread unease among the already-
spooked population, who had been panic-
buying food before the vote due to fear of
unrest.

Soldiers torture Adamawa man to death for stealing phone.

The police in Adamawa State have launched a
manhunt for some soldiers, who allegedly
tortured a man, Umar Abdulaziz, to death for
stealing a phone in the Ganaye Local
Government area of the state. .
.
Punch learnt that Abdulaziz was accused by a
female neighbour, identified only as Fatima, on
Monday of stealing her mobile phone. The
woman, who reportedly befriended a soldier,
was said to have gone to report the alleged
theft to her lover.
.
.
It was gathered that the soldier, whose name
had yet to be ascertained, came back with
three other colleagues and dragged Abdulaziz
away from the house. The victim was
reportedly taken to a corner of the compound,
where the soldiers battered him, until he went
into a coma. .
.
The matter was said to have been reported at
the Area F Police Station, after which
policemen and neighbours came to rush the
victim to a hospital, where he was confirmed
dead.A witness, who identified himself only as
Abass, said Fatima also told her soldier lover
that Abdulaziz beat her up in the house.
.
.
He said, “The lady lived on the next street to
mine. Our house is around the barracks in
Ganaye. She had a disagreement with
Abdulaziz and the next thing was for her to
call her soldier lover to deal with the victim. .
.
.
. . “She accused the man of stealing her
mobile phone. She also said the man beat her

South korean President, Park Geun-hye impeached over corruption.

Following six weeks of street protests and an
approval rating that plunged to just 4%, South
Korean President Park Geun-hye was
impeached Friday by the nation’s National
Assembly, signaling an ignominious end to a
term that had become mired in a corruption
scandal.
.
.
The impeachment vote required at least 28 of
Park’s fellow Saenuri Party lawmakers to
cross the aisle to make up the majority two-
thirds of the 300-seat legislature. The final
vote was 234 to 56 in favor of impeachment.
Park is suspended with immediate effect
although the vote needs to be ratified by the
nation’s Constitutional Court within 180 days
to become permanent.
The nation’s Prime Minister takes over Park’s
responsibilities in the interim, though Park had
already offered to resign if lawmakers voted
against her. If she does, new elections must
be held within 60 days.

FG set to launch an app that disseminate information about govt activities to Nigerians.

As part of efforts to enhance the dissemination
of government
activities, The Federal government is set to
launch a new app that will help disseminate
the activities of the Buhari-led government to
Nigerians. Minister of Information and Culture,
Lai Mohammed, yesterday announced that the
app which will be called the Federal
Government Information App (FGIAPP), will be
launched in Abuja on 15 Dec. 2016. .
.
He made the announcement at a meeting with
Resident Information Officers (RIOs) from
Ministries, Departments and Agencies ahead of
the launch. According to him, the Information
App will be leveraging on Social Media to
communicate government's policies and
programmes to the people anywhere in the
world and on real time basis. "We as a
government and as Information Ministry will
leverage on the unique technology to inform
the world about what we are doing. .

With the new App, it means anybody anywhere
in the world will get to know, real time, what is
happening in Nigeria at least from our own

activities of the present administration are
hugely under-reported, hence the need to
align with the global trend in information

unless you show a very strong presence there,
you are not communicating to the world," the

.
He stressed the essence of rich content to
make the App viable, and said the necessary
training and working tools will be provided for
the RIOs in order to build their capacity and
ensure effective contributions from their
respective Ministries. Departments and
Agencies.

dignitaries who graced the grand finale for the
rally of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Port

state and clear the backlogs of salary arrears,
even as he accused Ortom of borrowing a lot
of money and using bailout funds to execute
private businesses. .

workers for almost one year? That one that
Fulani herdsmen have almost finished his
people and he cannot do anything? Do you
want to be like Benue?” Wike queried. .

his State and rescue Benue people from the
shackles of Fulani Herdsmen and other

“It is a terrible thing, very shocking. It
happened around 1am. It was Mama (the late
Mrs Shofolabo) that woke up other residents
with her scream. I was in my own room when
I heard her voice and came out. Coming out, I
saw fire on her body and she was shouting
that Iya Rachel has burnt everyone in her
house. .
.
That she saw someone moving from her
house and thought it was a thief. But when
she looked from her window, she saw that it
was Iya Rachel. Since they are not close, she
screamed and asked her what she was doing
in her house. She woke up the other children
at home and told them she saw a thief moving
round and when they tried to go through the
door, they realised it was locked from the
outside. . .
.
.
It was when they were returning to their room
that they heard the explosion and people
started running. It was Mama that used her
hand to break her window so that they can all
come out from there. When I saw her, fire was
on her body and she was shouting that we
should go and help her children inside the
house that Iya Rachel has set fire in her
house. I got to the place and saw Taiwo,
Segun, Elijah and one other person.
famousblogng Cont... They were the ones who
told me that Kazeem was still inside, at that
time, the fire was very heavy and no one could
enter. Neighbours started trying to put out the
fire while some of us rushed them to Isolo
General Hospital but they were rejected. We
went to a private hospital and they said we
have to deposit N200,000. Since we didn’t
have the money, we rushed to Gbagada
General Hospital. There was no car and so,
Mama and others were put inside tricycle, I
stood by the edge of the tricycle, while Taiwo
was carried on a motorcycle. By the time we
got to the hospital, around 2am, Taiwo was
swollen. They started treating them and they
were responding. Mama even told the doctor
on duty what she saw and explained
everything to him. But later in the day, she
passed on and few minutes after her, Taiwo
died too. Their father came back from vigil
around 4am and he saw what has happened.
He followed some of the neighbours to the
hospital to see them. The police was
contacted that night. At the trauma and burns
section of the Gbagada General, family
members and sympathisers trooped in to see
Segun and Elijah, who were severely burnt.

New York City "Catwoman" arrested for slashing boyfriend's face and pouring hot wax on him.

This is the mugshot of the New York City
'catwoman' Jocelyn Wildenstein who is
charged with clawing the face of her longtime
boyfriend. Jocelyn Wildenstein, 71, is accused
of slashing Canadian couturier Lloyd Klein with
a pair of scissors and gouging his face with
her manicured nails. .
.
Klein, 49, was forced to shove the 'Bride of
Wildenstein' into a closet to prevent another
attack before fleeing their ritzy Trump World
Tower apartment on Wednesday night.
DailyMail.com reports cops later arrived to
book Jocelyn on felony assault charges.
.
.
Jocelyn and her boyfriend have been dating
since 2003 but the relationship is now over
because Klein considers Wildenstein a 'ticking
time bomb'.
'She can go blow up anytime, anywhere and
with absolutely no reason,' said a source close
to the couple. 'He says she is truly a beautiful
person when she's on her best behavior. But
when she flies into one of her incredible rages
look out.' .
.
Wildenstein and Klein are believed to have
enjoyed a meal Tuesday evening before the
wealthy divorcee accused him of spending too
much time on social media.'They had a
relaxing dinner, everything was normal then
Jocelyn suddenly got angry as she often
does,' said the source.
.
'Lloyd was using his laptop and evidently not
paying her enough attention. So she
screamed at him to get off the computer then
picked up a lit candle and threw the hot wax
all over him.'He was very scared, he asked
her to calm down but she just got angrier and
angrier and threatened to kill him. .
.
'She then went at his face with her nails,
which are real and very sharp, before finally
grabbing some scissors and stabbing them
twice into his chest.' Klein told police that he
reacted by pushing plastic surgery-loving
Wildenstein into a walk-in closet in the
hallway of their $5million Manhattan pad.
.
.
He denies locking her in or forcing the door
shut and says she could have left at any time
had she merely calmed down and opened it
from the inside. Wildenstein appeared in court
facing charges of assault in the second degree
and inflicting injuries with a weapon.

Father of murdered Abuja toddler recounts ordeal.

Mr. Umar Suleiman, whose two-year-old
daughter, Khadija, was abducted in the Kuje
area of Abuja and whose body was found
under a bridge in the Gwagwalada area of the
Federal Capital Territory, has said that
fraudsters attempted to defraud him as he
searched for his daughter. Suleiman had on
November 19, 2016 announced the abduction
of his daughter on his Facebook wall, praying
that his daughter would be found. But the girl
never returned alive, as her corpse was said to
have been found one week after.
.
.
Narrating his ordeal since he learnt about his
daughter’s murder, he said, “We are trying to
cope. This Saturday will make it two weeks
(that her corpse was found). I’ve been having
people calling with hidden numbers. Most of
them are fraudulent callers but there is this
particular one that is suspicious (for the
kidnapping and murder). But the police said
they didn’t have the facility to track the call
and they sent me to somebody at Utako, who
is a professional in that.
.
.
“The person said he charges N1m for kidnap
cases and I would obtain a form for N5,000.
He said because he was very compassionate
about it, he would charge me N200,000.I have
paid the N5,000 but I have not gone back to
the place since then because I have not
finished paying the N151,000 for the mother in
the hospital who went into labour because of
the shock.” .
.
Speaking further on the “fraudulent calls,”
Suleiman lamented that most of the callers
wanted to take advantage of his missing child
to defraud him.
He said, “They are 419ners. Some told me
they had her and when I asked for the
evidence and that it should be sent through
WhatsApp or that they should allow me to talk
to her, they would request to get back to me.
There was a particular one who sent his
account number. I played along with him,
telling him I was in the bank to make a
deposit into his account.
.
.
Suleiman added, “But when he didn’t receive
any alert after about two hours, he stopped
calling. There was another who asked me to
send a N1,500 recharge card which I would
send to a number before the caller would give
me information on who was holding my child.

week after the king was arraigned before the
Okeho Magistrate’s Court for allegations

take possession of a stretch of land that
belonged to another family.

on which tree crops worth N10m were
planted. The prosecutor had also said Oba
Adegoke and others, who were at large, on
March 29, 2016, sent threat messages to a
