Zarah and Mohammed’s’s extravagant wedding
festivities as officially kicked off in Abuja, where the
bride’s Kamu ceremony was held. As Zarah is
Hausa-Fulani, according to traditional Fulani
culture, the Kamu is “the catching of the bride”.
Her face will be covered with veil whilst the female
representatives haggled the groom for a price to
see the bride’s face. After the amount was agreed
and exchanged, her veil was opened and perfume
sprayed on the bride!
With the bride looking absolutely breathtaking in
her traditional outfit in gorgeous monotone blue
embellished also-oke dress accessorized with
lilac beaded jewellery; the groom chose a classic
midnight blue agbada and matching blue also-oke
cap, it was a night rich in culture and tradition as
everyone celebrated the joyous union. Congrats to
the beautiful couple!
