God showed me that Dangote will become the president of Nigeria- Archbishop Amu.

Former Secretary of the Christian Association
of Nigeria, Archbishop George Amu, has said
God has shown him that Nigerian billionaire
businessman, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, will one
day become the nation’s President, reports
Punchng.
.
.
Amu said just like the emergence of Donald
Trump as the President of America shocked
the world, so will Dangote’s emergence as
Nigeria’s President shock everyone.
.
.
The cleric, who recalled telling journalists on
August 21, on the occasion of his 75th
birthday, that Trump would win America’s
election, said God had also revealed to him
that Dangote would be Nigeria’s President, but
he was not sure whether he would succeed
Pres. Buhari or not. .
.
According to him, the similarity between
Trump and Dangote is that both are successful
businessmen, rather than politicians, and God
plans to use them to salvage their countries
from problems. .
.
Amu recalled that when he predicted Trump’s
victory, no newspaper reported it, saying, “I
even told my children to circulate the
information on their facebook but they
declined. .
.
The same God, who revealed Donald Trump’s
victory in the US, has also declared His
intention to install Dangote as the future
President of Nigeria.” The cleric said God had
chosen to entrust Trump and Dangote with
power in their countries, because they were
wealthy and would not steal their nations’
wealth, adding that it was God’s divine
strategy to cripple corruption in governance.

Nigerian girl wins Amnesty International Award, with her documentary on Almajiris.

Yesterday, 26-year-old Temitope Kalejaiye,
won the best student documentary at the 2016
Amnesty International Awards. Kalejaiye, who
had her MA in Broadcast Journalism from
Nottingham Trent university and BA in Mass
Communication from Ahmadu Bello university,
Zaria, won the award with her documentary
"Almajiri is begging" which was her final year
project at NTU.
.
.
Here is a synopsis of the documentary: "In
Northern Nigeria, millions of children live in
the Almajiri system. By night they memorise
the Qur'an, and by day they beg for food and
money. We meet the Almajiri children trapped
in a cycle of poverty and extremist influences.
.
.
They wake up as early as 3am or 4am to
begin their Qur'an studies until dawn at about
7am", describes teacher Abdullahi Lakare. In
Northern Nigeria, over 7 million children live
outside of the official school system. Instead,
they are sent to schools where they learn to
recite the Qu'ran and are forced to beg. .
.
But these children are in danger of being used
for criminal activities, and they are even
recruited into terrorist groups such as Boko
Haram. As a State Education Officer describes,
"If you can give them money to spend,
whatever you ask them to do they will do it."

Alleged fraud: Ex-Minister, Adeseye Ogunlewe, resigns appointment as FUNAAB'S pro-chancellor.

Former Minister of Works, Adesye Ogunlewe,
has resigned his appointment as the pro-
Chancellor of the Federal University of
Agriculture, Abeokuta, FUNAAB. His
resignation comes days after himself, the Vice
Chancellor and Bursar of the University were
arraigned before the Ogun State High Court,
Abeokuta on 18 counts, bordering on
conspiracy, stealing, obtaining money by false
pretences and abuse of office. Part of his
resignation letter reads;
.
. "I have decided to resign my appointment as
Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council,
Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta
with immediate effect. This is due to personal
reasons. I sincerely thank the Federal
Government for giving me the opportunity to
serve. The Federal Government should please
accept the assurances of my best regards”.

I won't carry Gucci bag because Kim Kardashian carried one- Queen Nwokoye.

Nollywood actress, Queen Nwokoye
speaking with BroadwayAfrica TV on why
she never gave up even when odds were
against her, Nwokoye said;
“What brought me and what has kept me
is my passion for the job. Money is good,
the attention is good but I stayed because
of the passion I have for it. It is a bit
frustrating when you are doing
something and it is like you are not being
appreciated for it or recognized for it but
the passion surpassed it, so I stayed. The
rest is history.”
“I don’t think it is because they are being
extravagant, how many people are to
begin with? The truth of the matter is a
lot of people are known faces but they
are not actually making the type of
money people think they make. Then
again, it is an individual thing, it is
either you are here or you are there but
the truth is a lot of people don’t make
that kind of money they think we have.
Some people think we get paid 10 million
for acting {laughs} so a lot of times,
actors want to live up to false
expectations from their fans and that is
how they get into trouble. As far as I am
concerned, if you are paid in Nigeria and
you want a Gucci bag and you convert
your Naira to dollars to go and buy it
because Kim Kardashian is carrying it, it
doesn’t make sense because she earns
dollars So for me it is not about being
extravagant everybody loves the good
things of life but you have to draw a
balance. It is about not truly making that
huge amount that actors and actresses
make.” She said.
On trading her stardom for her privacy,
Queen said, “We enjoy the stardom and
attention but sometimes you just want to
walk past unnoticed and just be yourself
but I wouldn’t give this up for anything in
the world. I love it and appreciate it.

A special Inspector-General Police anti-
robbery squad, on Monday, intercepted and
gunned down three suspected armed robbers

out at the busy UTC junction in Port Harcourt,
Rivers State
.
.

Special IGP Anti-robbery squad to catch up
with them. .

However, noticing the anti-robbery squad on
their trail, they opened fire on the detectives,
who immediately responded, resulting in the
deaths and the arrest.

I rejected marriage proposal from 'able-bodied' women- Deaf, dumb groom.

Paul Egbezokhai Kadiri, a deaf and dumb
groom, whose bride suffers from cerebral
palsy, has said he rejected marriage offers
from ‘able-bodied women’ because it was love
at first sight with his bride, Grace Olufunke
Omooba.
.
.
The wedding ceremony between Paul and
Grace took place at Jesus Kids, Home for
Special People with Disabilities, an orphanage,
over the weekend, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
.
.
Their story became more interesting as the
bridegroom, Paul, 52, was said to have turned
down the proposals of some able-bodied
admirers (women) at different times, who
wanted to have him as husband. .
.
According to information, Kadiri reportedly
said he would prefer to live the rest of his life
with a physically-challenged person like him.
He said it was love at first sight, when he saw
43-year-old light-complexioned Grace
Olufunke Omooba. .
.
Omooba had been under the care of the
President of the Home, Mrs Ololade Adamole-
kun, for the past 10 years. Kadiri resides and

who suffers from cerebral palsy, lived in
Ibadan before the marriage.

Man impersonates the inspector-General of police, defrauds saudi doctor of $10,000

Ekperebuike Akadonye, 29, has been arrested
by the police for allegedly parading himself as
the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris,
on the Internet and defrauding a Saudi Arabia-
based doctor, Hassan Alkahallaf, to the tune of
$10,000.
.
.
Alkahallaf was said to have earlier been
defrauded by Nigerians via the Internet on two
occasions, while efforts to recover the funds
had proved abortive. Akadonpe trapped him
by introducing himself as the IG and promised
to help him recover his loses.
.
.
He reportedly demanded $10,000 from
Alkahallaf to facilitate the legal processes of
the recovery and the victim was said to have
paid the sum into his (Akadonpe’s) account in
instalments.
.
.
The doctor contacted the IG through the Saudi
Arabian Embassy in Nigeria after realising that
he had been duped again. .
.
A police source said: “Akadonpe contacted his
victims, including Hassan (Alkahallaf), who is
attached to the Department of Urology,
Security Forces Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia,
via an email address, igofnieria@outlook.com,
purportedly belonging to IG Ibrahim Idris.
.
.
He claimed that Pres. Buhari, in his fight
against corruption, had directed the IG to
make refunds to victims who had been
defrauded by Nigerians in the past." Police
trailed Akadonye to Imo State, where he hails
from, and apprehended him.
.
.
The suspect, in his statement, said, “I am a
trader and I had shops in Mbano, Imo State.
But they were demolished by the government.

Apc suspends senator shehu sani indefinitely.

Leaders of Ward 6 in Kaduna state have indefinitely
suspended Senator Shehu Sani who represents
Kaduna Central in the senate. Sani has been at
loggerheads with Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-
Rufai and leaders of the party in the state.
The party in 2015 suspended Sani for 11 months
for committing offences which includes uttering
statements that allegedly “violate the rules of
engagement of the party, factionalizing the party,
and engaging in anti-party activities by criticizing
the policies of Governor Nasir El-Rufai.”
The party advised him to appear before its
disciplinary committee but he reportedly failed to
do so.
A letter signed by the secretary of the APC in ward
6, Tudun Wada and addressed to him yesterday
November 29th, stated that the 11 months initial
suspension had elapsed and that he will now
proceed on indefinite suspension. The letter in part
reads
“As you are aware, your suspension from the
party for a period of eleven months elapsed
today, being Tuesday 29th November, 2016. The
suspension, which was in line with the
constitution of our great party, the All
Progressives Congress (APC), was to enable
you to defend yourself against illegalities
committed by you against the party as well as
breach of its constitution. We expected the
period of your suspension to give you the grace
of being remorseful, but you rather choose to
play otherwise, and this made our party to be
vulnerable to disunity, disharmony and further
shattering the existing peace mechanism within
our ward and the state at large. Therefore, in
consideration of the constitutional provisions as
contained in Article 21 (A) i, ii, iii, v, vi, and vii
of the constitution of the All Progressives
Congress (APC), you are hereby suspended
indefinitely from active participation of APC
activities. This is in conformity with article 21
(D) i-(F) which provides punishment for any
erring member of the party. With this letter, you
are hereby warned to abide by the party’s
decision.”

Reason why NCC task big operators to raise tariffs.

Here is why NCC asked big
operators to raise data tariffs
.
.
The Nigerian Communications Commission
(NCC) has directed mobile telephone operators
in the country to jerk up data tariffs with effect
from December 1.
.
.
In a letter to the big operators, NCC said: “The
Commission has carefully reviewed all
submissions and hereby make the following
Determinations: the interim price floor for Data
Services is No.90k/MB for big operators. .
.
This rate will subsist pending the finalisation
of the study on the Determination of Cost
Based Pricing for Retail Broadband and Data
Services in Nigeria; in order to promote a level
playing field for all operators in the industry,
encourage small operators and new entrant to
acquire market share and operate profitably. .
.
Small operators and new entrants are hereby
exempted from price floor for data services;
for avoidance of doubt, a small operator is one
that has less than 7.5% of market share and a
new entrant is an operator that has operated
less than three years in the market.”
.
.
NCC is of the opinion that without a price
floor, the dominant operators can engage in
predatory pricing to drive down other
operators, meaning the industry could be
moving towards a monopoly.
.
.
A senior NCC official told TheCable that CDMA
operators – such as Multilinks and
Starcomms – were muscled out of the by the
Big Four because of their market power.
.
.
“At the rate they are crashing data tariffs, there
is every chance that they will soon kill all the
small operators and new entrants. Part of the
functions and duties of NCC is to check
monopolistic and oligopolistic behaviours in
the telecom market,” the official said.
.
.
Globacom currently charges 21k/MB
apparently because of the economies of scale
advantage, compared to Smile which charges
84k/MB, in order to break even.
.
.
Under the new tariff regime, Smile can
continue to charge 84k but Glo will have to
move up to 90k/MB – a 328% increase.

President Buhari halts the marriage plans of his daughter.

President Buhari has reportedly halted the
marriage plans of his 21-year-old
daughter, Zahra to Ahmed Indimi.
According to SDK :
After anticipating the grand wedding
ceremony of the daughter of president
Muhammadu Buhari, Zahra, to son of
billionaire businessman, Mohammed
Indimi, which was scheduled for December
4, 2016, our bubbles have been blasted by
President Buhari who has put the
ceremony on hold indefinitely.
The postponement, was on the insistence of
President Muhammadu Buhari, who,
according to a source close to the two
families, was uncomfortable with the
attention his daughter’s wedding has
received in the media, particularly with
news of customised wedding boxes as gifts
to Zahra costing a whopping N44m.
An introduction ceremony between both
families had earlier held at the Aso Villa,
Abuja on Friday, November 18, but the
wedding programme itself scheduled
between Wednesday 30th November and
Sunday 4th December, 2016, is supposed to
be on a low-key celebration as the
President desires it to be a simple and an
intimate ceremony to be attended by only
close family and friends.
“But the whole media attention has
changed everything now and the President
is not happy,” our source said.
Aside that, it was also gathered that the
President who has ordered that a security
check be conducted on Ahmed and his
source of stupendous wealth, is also not
comfortable with the groom’s father, Alhaji
Mohammed Indimi’s perceived closeness to
ex-President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida,
IBB.
Former President Ibrahim Babangida is
believed to be a long time godfather of
billionaire Mohammed Indimi, more so the
former President was against the
emergence of Buhari in 2015.
Our source further said President Buhari
who had such information at his disposal
before consenting to the marriage may
have been prevailed upon by his closest
political allies to have a rethink on giving
out his daughter to the Indimis.
Zahra, the 21-year-old daughter of
President Muhammadu Buhari has been in
the news recently since her wedding news
to Ahmed Indimi leaked into the press.
She is reported to have received about 30
customized LV (Louis Vuitton) boxes from
the family of her husband-to-be, Ahmed
Indimi.
The LV boxes have Zahra’s name
customized as ZBI (Zara Buhari Indimi).
The LV bags which total about 30 and
allegedly cost about £120, 000
(approximately N47,144,502, using the
official rate of N392.87 to a pound) are
said to have been delivered to Zahra in 30
exotic cars, according to reports.
In Northern Nigeria tradition, the groom’s
family is expected to buy the boxes known
as “LAIFE” for the bride.
The boxes are usually loaded with diamond
and gold jewelry, designer shoes, bags,
super wax, laces, perfumes, designer
underwear, cosmetics, jeans, tops and
more.
The man can do from 1 to 50 boxes as a
show of how rich and capable he is.
It is however “very unlikely that President
Buhari may give his go ahead for the
wedding in the near future,”

Senate seeks to ban used car importation into Nigeria.

Senate seeks to ban used car
importation into Nigeria .
.
The Senate Committee on Privatisation has
said it will propose a complete ban on the
importation of used cars. It, therefore, charged
local automakers to manufacture affordable
and energy-efficient cars for Nigerians so that
when the ban was in place, the impact would
not be felt. .
.
It added that the automakers and marketers
should have a flexible payment plan that
stretches for about 7 years to enable low-
income earners to buy. The Chairman of the
committee, Sen. Ben Murray-Bruce, disclosed
this while on an oversight visit to the
assembly plant of Volkswagen of Nigeria
Automobile Limited in Lagos on Monday. .
.
Murray-Bruce maintained that there should be
at least one million made-in-Nigeria cars
available on demand annually. He said, “We
want one million cars a year. Everybody who
has a job should have a brand-new car. I will
propose a ban on the importation of Tokunbo
cars; but first, every Nigerian should be able
to buy a brand new car in 10 seconds after we
put up the ban, not ban and wait for two
years.
.
.
The car manufacturers should make provision
for down payment of N250,000 and N30,000
monthly instalments. The vehicle should be
fully insured for 7 year. Another important
thing is that the cars being sold in Nigeria are
not energy efficient. You (VON) are a
distributor for Nissan and the firm has the
number one electric car in the world. The
electric car should be sold here.”

Mbaka exhorts FG, blames GEJ.

Don’t blame Buhari for your hunger,
more judges should be arrested, Mbaka exhorts FG
.
.
Fiery Enugu State Catholic priest Rev. Fr. Ejike
Mbaka, has called for the arrest of more judges,
saying that God was revolutionalising Nigeria with
the arrest of judges who were hitherto, the
untouchables. .
.
He also called for prayers for Pres. Buhari and has
absolved him of blame in the country’s economic
challenges. Fr. Mbaka, however, reassured
Nigerians that the current economic condition in
the country will soon be over. .
.
In a sermon to mark the opening of the 2016/2017
Legal Year, organised by Enugu State Judiciary,
Mbaka recalled that, in 2012, he prophesied that
doom time would follow the oil boom, if there was
no good planning of the country’s resources.
.
.
“But, the past administration was one of ‘loot as
much as you can.’ Look at a place like the Niger
Delta and one of them became president and did
nothing for his people and now, you want Buhari to
perform magic. .
.
But, we are a mono economy and every country
depending on oil is suffering the same fate with
Nigeria today. Buhari is not the cause of hunger in
the country; not the cause of starvation in Nigeria.
.
.
The tap root of Nigeria’s economy has been cut;
Buhari is just trying to hold a rolling vehicle; a
vehicle that the brakes have been destroyed. So,
Buhari is not the cause. If GEJ was the president
today, the situation would have been worse.
.
.
Economic recession will not last long; the solution
will come in a super natural way. So, all we have
to do is to pray for Buhari; he has good agenda
but, many around him are planning to pull him
down.”
.
.
On the recent arrest of judges, Mbaka said
Nigerians are beginning to lose hope in the
Judiciary, “but with Buhari’s revolutionary
experience going on, I am not saying that all who
are accused are guilty but, I am saying that judges
ought to remain incorruptible.
.
.
If they are corrupt, they should be arrested and
whoever arrests them should be praised. “So, if
president Buhari has that courage, that lion heart,
to touch the tiger’s tail, he is a hero.”

Toke Makinwa tell it all in her book "On Becoming".

Toke Makinwa, Nigerian radio personality,
television host, vlogger and now an author has said
that her ex infected her with an STI severally.
Toke Makinwa in her new book titled ‘On
Becoming’ spilled the bean on how she spoke of
the inadequacies of her ex, Maje Ayida and how
she contemplated suicide, finding God, bleaching
and more.
In the book Toke talked about her 18-month-old
marriage which was started on the 15 January
2014 at a private wedding ceremony with Maje
Ayida her lover for eight years and how the
marriage crumbled.
The Other Woman
“Who was that girl?” I asked
“That’s that girl”
“Which girl?”
“The girl I told you about. Her friends are always
calling me to say she really likes me and has a
crush on me. Her name is Anita.”
“So that’s the Anita girl they say you are dating.”
“I’m not dating her. How can I date someone that
is always saying ‘can I come and see you? I’ll
bring my friend that you think is cute’?”
“I accepted Maje’s explanation and concluded that
Anita was not important . So I’ll be with Maje and
she’d call and I’d tell him, “The girl that has a
crush on you is calling.” And it would be nothing.”
In chapter 8 ‘On Becoming’ titled ‘Hurt’. Toke
wrote about Maje returning from a trip and
infecting her with an STI.
And she said “He had given me an STI in the past.
He’d returned from a trip once and we had sex,
and a few days later I was itching.
‘I went to the doctors and they prescribed
medication, but when I asked Maje about the
infection he denied knowing anything about it. I
went through his PHONE and saw a conversation
with Anita where she complained that she had
been itching.
According to her, it was not news to Maje, more
like an update that she was giving him on a
situation that he already knew about.
“He asked what the doctor’s report said and what
was prescribed. I knew I would be putting myself
at risk if I closed my eyes to whatever he chose to
do on the side. So I went back to putting all my
attention into my work.”

THE PAINS OF A LONELY HEART.

EPISODE 5
“Where is the money?” she asked
again, looking furious. Mrs. Johnson’s raised
voice brought Ben out of his room.
“Mum, what’s going on?” Ben asked as he
joined them in living room. “Ask her, my son,
let her answer you.” Mrs. Johnson said,
gesturing at Juliet.
“Juliet what is it?” Ben turned to
ask her. Juliet who was still in tears
answered. “Mum’s money is missing and she
thinks I’m the one who took it”. “Juliet, did
you take it? Please tell me” Ben asked.
“No Ben, I didn’t touch her money” Juliet
answered. Looking at her, Ben could tell
she really knew nothing about the
missing money. He had to intervene on her
behalf. He asked her to go to her room while
he sorted things out with his mother. “Mum,
how much are we talking about here? Ben
asked his mother after Juliet had left. “Why
are you asking me that? I don’t know why you
keep standing up for this girl!” Mrs. Johnson
responded. “Come on Mum, just tell me” Ben
asked her again. “5,000 Naira” Mrs. Johnson
grudgingly answered.
“5,000 Naira? Was that not the money you
told James to take from your purse this
morning for the DSTV subscription? Ben
asked. Mrs. Johnson’s face dropped as
she remembered that she had
actually already given the money she
claimed was missing to James that morning.
She was, however, too embarrassed and proud
to admit her error. So she decided to stick to
her story, even though she knew she was lying
and falsely accusing the poor girl. She
insisted the money she was looking for was
not the same one she had told James to
take. Ben didn’t believe her. He knew
his mother well enough to know when
she’s hiding something or lying. But he
couldn’t tell his mother that she was lying. She
was already furious. He couldn’t afford to
have her more angry than she already was.
Ben told her he was going to pay the money
and that he was going have a talk with Juliet.
He said that just to calm his mother down.
Juliet was going through very difficult times
both at church and at home. Apparently, her
foster mother had been reporting to the
church Elders how that she had been stealing
at home. Even though she was innocent,
this rumor about Juliet’s supposed behavior
had quickly spread throughout the
church. Living under Mrs. Johnson’s roof
was virtually becoming hell for her. She hardly
smiled these days. In fact, she cried every
day.
Ben was the only person that stood by her
through those difficult times. She prayed and
prayed, all day and night. It seemed like
things only got worse as she prayed. She was
no longer comfortable at church as everyone
was talking behind her back, calling her a
thief.
Soon, Mrs. Johnson and her two sons had to
travel for a 3-day church outreach. Juliet was
left alone at the house.
On the first night of their departure, Juliet
locked up the doors of the house and went to
bed. Around 2:00 am, she woke up to
hear foot-steps in the hallway. She came out
of her room to find out who it was because
She was so sure of what she heard, she then
went and check if she had really locked the
door. It was locked, nothing had changed.
She then went back to her room and within
some few minutes she was far
asleep. Suddenly, her door opened slowly and
someone who was dressed in all black with a
mask on his face entered the room. Juliet
didn’t hear anything as the person slowly
went closer to her bed. The only thing that
woke her up was when her nose was suddenly
covered with a handkerchief to prevent her
from inhaling fresh air. Within some few
seconds she become weak, it appeared that
there was some sort of a substance in the
handkerchief that made her weak, helpless
and vulnerable.
The unknown person then striped her naked
and raped her that instant. He went away
right after this, leaving Juliet bleeding
profusely. She was a virgin until that night.

PAINS OF A LONELY HEART.

Episode 4
We did all we could”, the
Doctor said. “What do you mean, Doctor?
Juliet asked. “I’m afraid, we just lost him”
the Doctor declared.
“What!!!!!!!!! Juliet shouted “I’m afraid, we
just lost him” the Doctor declared.
“What!!!!!!!!! Juliet shouted “Doctor, please
tell me it’s a lie. How? She continued as Ben
held her by the shoulder to console her. “We
tried all we could. I’m really sorry for your
loss” the Doctor confirmed and left
Ben with her at the OPD. Juliet cried her heart
out… She couldn’t help herself… She was
inconsolable. There was nothing Ben could do
to comfort her. He waited patiently till
she was ready to go and drove her home.
James and his mother were
already home. Despite the mischief they had
been up to earlier, they were reading and
sharing from the bible together. Ben and
Juliet met them in the living room. Juliet who
was still crying ran into her room leaving Ben
behind and locked herself up.
That got the attention of James and
his mother. “What is wrong with that girl, has
she lost her manners or what? How could
she walk pass me without greeting”, Mrs.
Johnson complained. “Mum, please don’t
blame her. She is in pain, she just lost her
friend Mike, the one we saw at church the
other day” Ben intervened.
“Oh so sorry for her, but it still does
not justify her actions. I am the one
taking care of her. Even the bible says ”let
the dead burry their dead’ ” Mrs.
Johnson responded. “What! Mum, did you just
say that? Come on, the girl is really hurt!”
Ben said and walked away, leaving his mother
with James who refused to utter a word.
Juliet stayed in her room all day weeping.
Ben brought her food to her but she refused
to eat. Somehow, she blamed herself for
Mike’s death. She figured that if Mike
hadn’t driven her home, he’d still be alive. It
was out of his kind gesture that this tragedy
had happened. Maybe her foster mother was
right, she thought. She should have stayed
away from Mike. At least, he’d still be alive.
Juliet blamed herself. She knelt down beside
her bed at that moment, looked up to her
roof and began praying with tears in her
eyes. “God, why am I going through
this. Forgive my sins, I beg of you. I pray
that you grant Mike rest with you. Forgive
me father for I know I’m the cause of
this, forgive me.” She prayed.
Time ran fast and soon it was 6:30PM. Juliet
had forgotten she had a prayer meeting that
evening. As head of the prayer group,
her presence was required in church. It had
completely skipped Juliet due to the current
situation she was in. Grace called her to ask
if she was going to make it. On phone:
Grace: “Hello Juliet, where are you? We are
here waiting for you.”
Juliet: “I’m sorry Grace, I can’t make
it. Please let someone stand in for me”
Grace: “Why? What’s wrong? This is
very unusual of you.
Juliet: “We’ll talk about it later. Just kindly
do me that favor, ok. Let someone take over”.
Grace: “You really surprise me but
fair enough, will do just that. You take care
now, I’ll call you later.”
Grace hung up and immediately called
Mrs. Johnson to tell her about
the conversation with Juliet.
Mrs. Johnson got upset. She stormed
into Juliet’s room. “Young lady, what are you
still doing here when you are supposed to be
at church? She aggressively asked.
“Mum, I’m sorry but I can’t make it today”
Juliet answered. “Look, you better dress up
and get ready for church before I pounce on
you. Have you lost it? What do you think I
have been bringing you up for?” she said.
Juliet quickly got up and began dressing. Mrs.
Johnson was leaving Juliet’s room when she
remembered that she had left her purse in
her room. She asked Juliet to fetch it for her
while she left and waited in the living
room. Juliet brought the purse to her
and returned to her room to finish
dressing up. Mrs. Johnson opened her purse
and her facial expression changed. It
appeared that she had lost her money. She
immediately called Juliet back to ask her.
“Hey! Where is the N5,000 I kept in
the purse?” she asked. Juliet was clueless
“Mum, I …” she started saying, but before
she could finish speaking, Mrs. Johnson
landed a heavy slap on her face. “Where is
the money?” she asked again, looking furious.
