The Bakassi female hostel at yabatech was gutted by fire early Wednesday morning.
While the cause of the fire remains unknown, it was gathered that the fire had raged for close to three hours before the arrival of fire fighters.
A source within the campus, who could not at the time of the incident ascertain if any life was lost, said several students were rushed to the hospital.
