I rejected marriage proposal from 'able-bodied' women- Deaf, dumb groom.

Paul Egbezokhai Kadiri, a deaf and dumb
groom, whose bride suffers from cerebral
palsy, has said he rejected marriage offers
from ‘able-bodied women’ because it was love
at first sight with his bride, Grace Olufunke
Omooba.

The wedding ceremony between Paul and
Grace took place at Jesus Kids, Home for
Special People with Disabilities, an orphanage,
over the weekend, in Ibadan, Oyo State.

Their story became more interesting as the
bridegroom, Paul, 52, was said to have turned
down the proposals of some able-bodied
admirers (women) at different times, who
wanted to have him as husband. .

According to information, Kadiri reportedly
said he would prefer to live the rest of his life
with a physically-challenged person like him.
He said it was love at first sight, when he saw
43-year-old light-complexioned Grace
Olufunke Omooba. .

Omooba had been under the care of the
President of the Home, Mrs Ololade Adamole-
kun, for the past 10 years. Kadiri resides and
works in Modakeke, Osun State, while his wife
who suffers from cerebral palsy, lived in
Ibadan before the marriage.

The groom’s mother expressed her
willingness to stay with the couple to assist
where their disabilities hinder them to do
some household chores. According to her, “I
am happy to witness this day that I have been
praying to see. Finally, the day has come and I
am very grateful to God who has made it
